Cancer Treatment:
All types of Cancer patients can be treated in this hospital, Oncosurgeries & Chemotherapy facilities are available here for the cancer patients.
B.K.L.W. Hospital & Tata Memorial Hospital are jointly running the “Model Cancer Control Program” for Ratnagiri & Sindhudurg districts. Oral Malignancy, Ca – Breast, Ca – Cervix cases are treated free of cost under this project.
2. Plastic Surgery:
Cleft Lip & Cleft Palate plastic surgeries are done free of cost. Up till now 171 patients of cleft lip & cleft palate are treated.
3. Spine O.P.D. & Operations:
Every month (First Saturday & Sunday) spine clinic & spine operative camp is organized at
B.K.L.W. Hospital. Well-known spine surgeons DR. SATISHCHANNDRA GORE (M.S.F.R.C.S.) and DR. SUNIL NADKARNI (M.S.F.R.C.S.) from Pune participate in the clinic & camp. They are routinely doing advanced spine surgeries like Endoscopic Disectomy, etc
4. Laproscopic Surgeries:
Laproscopic Hystectomy, laproscopic cholecystectomy, laproscopic appendicectomy, laproscopic hernia repair, laproscopic tubule Ligation, diagnostic laproscopy, cervical spine surgeries, etc. operations are done in laproscopic operative camp.
5. Infertility Clinic:
Infertility patients are investigated for the primary or secondary infertility. Diagnostic laproscopy, intrauterine insemination etc., procedures are done by the consultants.
6. Cardiology Clinic:
Ischemic heart disease cases angina cases, rheumatic valvular heart disease cases, congestive cardiac cases are investigated & treated in cardiology clinic. Stress test, 2 – D Echocardiography, Color Doppler, etc., investigations are routinely done.
7. Urology Operative Camps:
Renal stones, ureteric stones, U.V. junction calculi, Bladder calculi, bladder mass, benign etc., cases are operated in O.T. by endoscopy or open method.
