Shri Vithalrao Joshi Charities Trust

Shree Vithalrao Joshi Charities Trust, a well known organization working for the society’s Benefit in the Konkan region of Maharashtra state, had for a long time envisaged a project of offering basic & state-of-the-art health services to the poor & needy people at affordable rates. This vision became a reality on 1st February 1996, with the inauguration of Bhaktashreshtha Kamalakar Laxman Walawalkar (BKLW) Hospital at Dervan (about 280 Km from Mumbai and 240 Km from Pune, on the Mumbai-Goa road). The hospital, which is spread over 7 acres of land, in a campus of about 150 acres, is today a glowing example of dedicated service to humanity.

Dervan might be the only place in the entire world where Hospital, School, Nursing College, Rural Medical College and now the ultra modern Sports Complex are within the same campus.

Shri Vithalrao Joshi Charities Trust’s English Medium School was established in November 1996. It provides educational instructions on four levels – Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary and Junior College. Click here to find out more details about the school.

A medical college with 100 seats is envisaged by S.V.J.C.Trust as there is a dire emergency to provide modern medical services to the rural population at their door steps. Click Here to read more about B.K.L. Walawalkar Rural Medical College...
