This Department is a boon to patients with Gastro-intestinal disorders. Endoscopic biopsies, polypectomy, esophageal banding, sclerotherapy, ERCP, Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) Placement, polypectomy (removal of precancerous polyps), colonic stenting (for bowel obstructions), endoscopic hemostasis, balloon dilation for strictures, and foreign body removal and MRCP are routinely performed under supervision of senior gastroenterologists.
