SHORT RESUME OF DR ABHIMANYU B. KELKAR

• Passed MD (Radio Diagnosis) from B. J. Medical College Pune in December 1980.

• Worked as Lecturer in Department of Radiology for One year and then joined Ruby Hall Clinic as a Consultant Radiologist.

• After working in Ruby Hall for three years, joined K.E.M. Hospital Pune as Associated Consultant Radiologist – Three years.

• Left K.E.M. Hospital and joined Ruby Hall Clinic again as Chief Consultant and Head of Department. Worked here for ten years till 1998, was instrumental in founding the department of MRI.

• Has a busy private practice with conventional X-rays, Ultrasound and Colour Doppler since 1984.

• Has been trained in USA, Japan and Holland in MRI. Special training in Neuro MRI at National Neuroscience Institute Singapore, and Cardiac MRI at Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane, Australia.

• Has presented many papers in National and International journals. Has participated in many National and International conferences. Has given hundreds of talks addressing many academic bodies/academic societies.

• Attended the 5 day intensive Head Neck Imaging CME held at the Salt Lake city, Utah, USA in March 2006.

• At present, Director, P.D.S. CT SCAN CENTRE and OMEGA MRI CENTRE, Pune.

• Actively involved in Post Graduate teaching for last several years.

• Extracurricular interests: Singing, Reading, Travelling, Photography.
