Basic Surgical Skills Course

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK & B.K.L. Walawalkar Hospital is calling for applicants to take part in its next Basic Surgical Skills Course being conducted in the month of September 2019.
 
The 2 day course is designed to introduce core surgical skills at the very start of a surgeon’s training by teaching correct basic techniques, which may not specifically have been covered during their foundation or core training placements.

The course is held over two days with a series of demonstrations and extensive hands on sessions. Techniques are practiced using combination of animal tissue, synthetic models and simulation.

On completion of the course participants should be able to demonstrate a wide range of surgical disciplines, from handling instruments, to undertaking core biopsy, wound management and drainage techniques.

Participants are assessed throughout the course and issued with a certificate from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, upon successful completion.

This course is ideal for practicing doctors / residents / interns, students – Foundation Year 2 (FY2) and Specialist Trainees (ST1 & ST2) looking to learn and improve the basic skills and techniques of Surgery. Course Fees will be Rs. 47,200/- (inclusive of all taxes).

It includes food and accommodation.
